"Institute of Culture" undeground station
The station was built next to the Minsk Institute of Culture (opened in 1975, now the Belarus Institute of Culture, )
Artists Vasily Chaika and Stepan Kotovich made 12 stained glass windows (13.5 m) with figures of an architect, a musician, a weaver, a glass blower, a blacksmith, a book printer, a potter, one of the characters holding a batleika. The colouring and decoration are a reference to Slutsk belts. Due to alternation, against the background of the white vault of the station, the stained glass windows and decorative inserts turn into an ornament reminiscent of embroidery on Belarusian folk costumes.
The stained glass windows and decorative inserts were made of moulded glass at the Neman glassworks, the chandeliers of crystal.
