Decoration of the cinema Moscow
The Muskva theatre was created according to the original design of the architects of the ‘Beldziarzhpraekt’. The design was based on Belarusian folk art with a calanial character, according to the opinion of Dmitry Zadoryn, a descendant of architecture.
Gauryla Vashchanka and his son Mikalai were in charge of the monumental decoration - interior and façade. Initially the façade was decorated with large copper lithars ‘Muskva’ (Belarusian), but the workers tried to change the name to ‘Muskva’ (Russian). The spots of copper pins on the facade represent the spots of Soviet republics. The theatre's façade includes a colour exhibition ‘Moscow - the Capital of our Joy’ with all the basic steel buildings.
