Alto-relief on the residential building
House No. 114 is located on the main compositional axis of the district - Rokossovsky Avenue. The building had an important social significance for the residents of the district. There was a hairdresser's shop, a bookstore, a jewellery shop ‘Lazurit’, a branch of the Savings Bank and a cafe. On the end of the residential building artist Anatoly Yaskin (?) made a high relief.An allegorical group in metal is confidently heading towards a happy future. Maybe they are happy residents of the new neighbourhood, or maybe they are builders. If you look from below, it seems that the figures are striving upwards - to the sky, or to space, trying to overcome the earth's gravity under the symbolic sickle and hammer.
