Ocean Mysteries’ mosaic in the “Amber” swimming pool
The ‘Amber’ pool was opened on 19 August 1972 on the day of the MAZ anniversary. By the time of the opening the mosaic ‘Mysteries of the Ocean’ was ready.The mosaic ‘Ocean Mysteries’ reminds the art of Incas and Aztecs, linear embroidery of the pre-Columbian epoch and ideographic writing. The inhabitants of the underwater world from the Minsk pool resemble mythical creatures of the ancient world. This is another good example of the influence of Latin American artists on Soviet artists.
