Museum of Soviet-Polish military cooperation
The Museum of Soviet-Polish Combat Cooperation was opened on 15 October 1968 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Battle of Lenino (now Lenino). From 10th to 13th October 1943 there were fights of the 33rd Army of the Western Front, which included the ‘1st Polish Infantry Division named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko’. Tadeusz Kosciuszko’ and the army of Werchmath.A stele near the main building of the complex depicts the Piastovo eagle. Another monument depicts the symbol of the Soviet-Polish military co-operation - two hands clutching a flagpole
The complex was designed by a team from Moscow: architects Yakov Belopolsky, Vladimir Khavin, designer A. Sudako, sculptor Vladimir Tsigal, author of the diorama - Ukrainian artist Mykola Ovechki and muralist Arkady Intezarov. The building of the museum is made in the form of a soldier's helmet.
The stained glass window inside the museum was made in 1983 by Mogilev artist Yuriy Nesteruk.
