The sgraffito depicts Stepan Khalturin, a revolutionary and the main participant in the attempted assassination of Alexander II. Khalturin was a carpenter by profession, so in 1926 the furniture factory in Bobruisk received an honourable name of the revolutionary. Lenin loved Khalturin, and two portraits of Marx and Khalturin hung in his office.
