School in Ostromechevo
A whole team of Brest artists worked on the decoration of the school: V.S. Bazan, G.P. Kucherenko, V.A. Khvisevich, V.A. Nikolaev, authors of mosaics and chasing, A.V. Kuznetsov did the murals. In 1905 a free public library was opened in the settlement on the funds of the publisher Florentiy Pavlenkov. The main figure on the central mosaic is a girl holding a book in her hands. The second mosaic is made as an open book. The mosaics list the main moments of Soviet history - revolution, war, new times. Inside the school there is a chasing in the form of a letter and painting.
